Besides acting, which areas are you most involved in now?

I produce and host my weekly TV Show The Bianca Rossini Show, Write a magazine column, and I’m also finalizing the digital version of my bilingual poetry book “ A Brazilian Heart” to be read online as if you are reading a real book. It will also include audio of the poems with music composed by Sandro Zama and Hanspeter Heimman. Record producer Ramiro Mendes (Mendes Records), who launched Cesaria Evoria and many others, is producing my aLBum. It will include original songs written by me with music by Ken Hirsch, Ray Parker Jr., Don Heckman, Sandro Zama and more.

How do you promote Brazilian culture in your TV Show?

Many of my guests are Brazilians, also I do shows about our culture and cities. A recent show about Paraty was filmed by Gisele Feth and edited by Gustavo Dias, who also recently taped and edited a funny segment I hosted entitled What Americans know about the Pam Am games.

When did you start writing?

I started writing as a child. I love to write. It is very natural for me.

Who were your greatest influences as an artist?

My mother. She introduced me to everything I love and became – to a multitude of musical styles, singing, acting, film, storytelling, comedy, fashion, art, romance, travel, nature, good food and more.

How are you able to do so much in such a competitive place such as Hollywood?

I’ve been very fortunate to be able to do what I love. But it requires a lot of discipline, concentration and work. I am very grateful to have a team of amazing talent that continue to support my work: my publicist Denise Dorman, art director Fabio Garcia, Alex Vignoli, Hugo Espinosa, Andre Martins, director Brinda Bashit, film editor Gustavo Dias, Mauricio Zanotto, sound engineer Bastien Benkhelil, and more. The list continues. There are directors, photographers, musicians, artists, agents, sponsors, and my friends.

Bianca, tell us what inspired you to write A Brazilian Heart: Rubies, Murdered Love and Other Poems ?

Love, disappointment, hope… life.

How long did it take you to write the entire book?

The poems took probably a total of a few weeks, but to produce A Brazilian Heart, which in fact is two books in one, has been over a year in the making. It’s like producing and directing two films. It’s that involved. It was an amazing journey that included the collaboration of over 20 great talented people.

What makes A Brazilian Heart different from other poetry books?

In the process of making the book I had researched bookstores to see if I could find anything comparable with what I was planning to do. I couldn’t find a single book like it. A Brazilian Heart is a bilingual book, in English and Portuguese. It includes stunning original illustrations by five international artists: Carmem Gusmão, Aaron Kai, Anna Kate G, Francisca Vanjour, Maria Rabinsky and Galina Kirilova.

A Brazilian Heart has been acclaimed by famous American authors like Michael Eric Dyson, Syd Field and Brazilian authors like José Nêumanne Pinto, Mano Mello and our Embaixadora Thereza M. Quintella. How do you feel about that?

I was very honored and happy. So much so that I had to include all introductions and quotes – almost 30 in total. The quotes are poetry in themselves and to me it was such a gift to receive such a beautiful response for the poems that I wanted to keep it as part of the book and share with the readers as well.

What is the name of your first book?

My first book is a novel Julia: Confessions of a Brazilian Super Model

What can we look forward to on your L.A.-based TV talk show, The Bianca Rossini Show?

I would like to have more shows that promote Brazilian culture, tourism, music etc; I am looking forward to continuing to produce and host shows that are eclectic and informative as well as entertaining.
