BIANCA ROSSINI

Rio Paradise by Bianca Rossini: A Musical Escape with Bossa Nova & Jazz | Pop Culture Review

Couldn’t we all use a great escape right about now? Bianca Rossini is back, once again providing a breath of fresh air as she whisks listeners away, musically, to Brazil. Rossini, who hails from Rio de Janeiro, displays an exceptionally pretty voice. She brings a magical quality to the melodically and rhythmically intoxicating original songs on this new EP. Bossa Nova has never been more beautiful. Rossini also served as co-writer of these ravishing numbers.

Whether she’s singing in English or Portuguese, the subtle sensuality of Rossini’s vibrant voice will elegantly transport you. Listeners might recognize the title track, “Ipanema Paradise.” It was among the highlights of her previous album, “Vento do Norte.” But this time she’s performing it in an English language version. “Return to Brazil,” previously issued as a single, is a warm, gentle breeze. The arrestingly amorous “Tic Tac do Amor” will leave you swaying and sighing. “Mariana” and “Canto de Mi Tierra” are also Portuguese language gems.

With Rossini’s alluring vocals and enticing instrumentation bubbling behind her, these tracks truly sparkle. The EP is an aural paradise indeed.
